Ken from Colgate trailered the boat from FL. Ted Squire (Right Colgate #152 owner) was extraordinary in his help to get her ready to race in the PHRF NE's. It would have been impossible without his unselfish giving of his time. |

Steve is not bashful in letting everyone know who is here. |
As you can see she came with a beautiful upper body finish. |
The keel looks ok but it was very rough. |
Almost had the feel of a golfball surface. Not fast going through the water as a foil. |
Many hours of sanding were needed to smooth out the keel's surface. The thin coating got removed exposing the 1040 pounds of lead in the keel. |
The keel doesn't look pretty but it is a lot faster that the delivered product. Still has BIG ridges where the lead meets the fiberglass. |
In the foreground is Colgate 26 just behind her is my 23' Sonar MOMENTUM. |
There she is in profile. A beauty! |
Another view of Colgate 26, Fall Line. |
Here is a close up of the sterns of both the Colgate 26 & my Sonar in the EYC dry sailing area. |
FAll Line & Sonar, MOMENTUM showing the full masts of each. |
Both the keels & the rudders are quite different. |
Right is Colgate 26 and left is 23' Sonar, MOMENTUM. Both are ready & anxious to get into the water & race! |
